CommunicAsia is the region’s global platform set to address the current and emerging issues in the ICT and digital convergence landscape. It focuses on the latest technology for applications, solutions and hardware.
The Multiclickz team was at the show and we enjoyed ourselves. While having fun, we have not forgotten to bring to the readers at Singapore Top 10 – the top 10 things we liked about CommunicAsia 2009.
Ample Car Park and its very own MRT Station

When we arrived at Singapore EXPO, we were greeted with ample parking lots. In total there were 2000 lots. Even if you do not drive, Singapore EXPO has its own Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station. It is indeed very accessible
Friendly Staff and Pleasant Experience

At the entrance, there are very helpful exhibitors providing instructions and guidance on registration. Booths were generally well spaced out and gave show goers a very pleasant experience.
Not only SingTel has this

Powerwave has also gotten onto the formula 1 bandwagon. With a full sized F1 simulator on display, it is sure to attract the attention of the crowd.
Security

The security for the show was pretty tight. They made sure that everyone was in the correct attire (no shorts, singlet or slippers). We were required to show our badge at entry. Upon re-entry our badges were being scanned to ensure that we have already been registered. Cameras and photography was not allowed, but the Multiclickz team managed to work around that and is able to provide you with pictures from the show.
Goodie bags

That is one reason why the Mutliclickz team likes this show. Many exhibitors are handing out huge goodie bags. These goodie bags, besides being large advertisement boards for the exhibitors, do have product information and freebies in them.
Mascot for the day

Promoting their mobile phone features, LG has engaged the services of fluffy mascots. Certainly it brings some fun and joy into the show.
Spectacular booth designs

The booth designs we previously reviewed during the PC show 2009 were a far cry from the booth design we saw today. Two huge booths which stood out were the Samsung and LG booths.
Booth Babes

What would CommunicAsia be without these ladies on parade? They were deployed in many of the booths to bring in the crowds, as well as provide product information to the show goers. The Samsung booth was the clear winner in this regard….they seemed to have a babe for every guest to their booth! Hmmm no booth hunks were seen at the show though. One of life’s little mysteries..
LG Booth

Number 2 on the list of things we liked about the show was the LG booth. Many of their latest phone technologies were on display, they had daily lucky draws to win mobile phones, and their beautiful booth babes provided product information. LG also has stage performances to cap off their booth leadership.
LG GD900 Crystal IDA Sleepy Dude

The LG GD 900 Crystal is LG’s latest phone that comes with a crystal clear keypad. It features gesture shortcuts, mouse mode, WiFi and an 8MP camera. It is really something to look forward to. We already had the number 1 in our minds before we left. When the team went back in for a last look at the show, we discovered this sleepy dude at the IDA booth. Boring exhibition or great booth design, you decide!
