Halloween is just around the corner; in fact it is just a couple of days away. Halloween has become rather popular amongst Singaporeans, especially those younger generations.

Have you decided what to do, where to party or where to celebrate Halloween yet?

SGTOP10 goes around and found out a couple of places or ways that you can get into the Halloween swing.

10 Just put on a costume
To get into the groove of Halloween, the first thing to do is to get into a costume! Go have breakfast in a Edward scissors hands outfit or take train ride as a Grim Reaper.

Put in more effort in this year’s costume, do not think that you can just don your SAF #4 uniform and pass if off as a Halloween outfit.

9 In-House Halloween party
We all know that merchants would not spare this opportunity to up a couple of percentages on the price of things. If that is the case for you and your family, I suggest that you can have your own in-house Halloween party. Get your guests to dress up; slight decorations to the house and of course have Halloween food.

It is a great way to spend time with family and friends.

.

8 Go watch a horror movie in a costume
Just want to get into the mood of Halloween without all the fuss? Take a trip down to catch a horror movie in a costume!

I strongly suggest Halloween 2 and a matching costume but if you insist on catching Julie and Julia, all that I can say is that a matching Julie costume is rather scary as well!

.

7 Villianville Zouk Halloween 2009villianville Zouk
For the party animal in you, I suggest spending your Halloween at Zouk. This year Zouk presents Villianville! Zouk is being transformed into a maximum high security prison where the darkest minds of society are planning on munity. Holding fort in the halls of Villianville are the 2 most feared executioners. Which side will you be on?

Villianville is free and priority will be given to those in full costumes! Arrive early since this is a free event.

Oh did I mention that one party go-er with the most creative costume gets to win a pair of tickets worth $2400 to Los Angeles, USA.

.

6 Take a ghost walk at old Changi Hospital
I still remember my first encounter with old Changi Hospital. The experience can be quite hair rising. Perspiring from the walk there, I could at an instance feel coldness in the halls of the hospital.

Trickled with fear, my mates and I decided to walk in a line, hands on each other’s shoulder as we braved the stairs to the top level! The climax came at one of the levels where a broken mirror or glass lay. One of my mates claims that he saw some “thing” in the reflections! Being spooked to our maximum, the group of us charged down the stairs and exited the hospital!

I think it would be great fun to visit old Changi Hospital in costume with your mates during Halloween!

.

5 Halloween Party Bus
For one night only, hop on to the special Halloween party bus (Singapore’s first hope on hope off party bus). You will be whisked away to top venues, jumping queues, gain VIP access, sample-privileged food and enjoy free drinks.

For as little as $88 per person, you can party up to 8 venue and enjoy 9 free drinks! I personally think that it is pretty expensive, not recommended unless you got cash to splash or you are sick of Zouk!

singapore flyer4 Singapore Flyer’s – Halloween special: spooky sky dinning
Have you taken a ride on our pride and joy, the Singapore Flyer yet? If you are like me, still yet to get the chance to embrace the sight of our beautify Singapore skyline, why not take this chance to have a wonderful, or rather spooky sky dinner at the Singapore flyer?

At the price of $299++ per couple, I think perhaps you should do more than just celebrate Halloween. For those planning on a marriage proposal, why not take this chance to spook, I mean surprise her with more than just a ghoulish meal?

.

31 Sentosa Spooktacular
I have always liked Singapore history but just not the exams! I am glad that Sentosa will be looking to resurrect the ancient past of Singapore through Sentosa Spoktacular.

Images of Singapore will be looking to traipse the endless trail of horrifying events, scary superstitions and urban legends!

Not sure if you should bring your kids. The trailer looks rather scary!

.

21 Downtown East – escape to “hell”oween
I am lazy to travel.
I still want to have some Halloween fun.
I live in the east.

Combine the 3 statement above should bring you to Downtown east’s Escape to “Hell”oween event.

The escape theme park will be transformed into a spooky site where you will be entertained by mummies, ghosts, fortune-teller, snake charmer and participate in the best dressed competition for chance to win mystery prizes!

.

11 Halloween Horrors at the Night Safari
This is one of the most happening places to be during Halloween! I am sure that the terror rides and uninvited guest will scare the living daylights out of you!

Look to spook yourselves at the haunted photo wall, train of terror, gate to Neverland, forest giants trail, bridge of no return and the Halloween cocktail express!

Night Safari warns that it may cause Palpitations, Goosebumps, pale complexions and the urge to return for more. Not recommended for the faint-hearted.

I certainly am looking forward to spook myself out at the Night Safari!
