This is a follow up from our “Top 10 things your probably didn’t notice in PC shows”. post. We would like to bring attention to another thing that PC show goers might not notice or care about: the Booth Design. While the design of these booths may be of little importance to the shoppers, they do subconsciously “attract” and increase sales. All tributes go to the creative designers and workers who have worked tirelessly to bring up these booths and add colour to this show. The eagle eyed Multiclickz team has done their research and present the top 10 booths of PC Show 2009.

10 Courts – “glittered with LCD TVs”

Courts has decided to come up with the basic idea of having a huge signboard. This will definitely attract shoppers, that is, if others do not come up with a bigger wall of TVs. To further enhance the glittering effect, they have also lined their booth with LCD TVs.

9 Compaq – “exhibitors in red”

This booth, like many others, has decided to go for the “Halo” 4-sided signboard approach, complemented by their exhibitors dressed in red. This booth could have been higher up the top 10 list if not for the stacks of cardboard boxes creating clutter.

8 LG – “as Bright as possible”

Besides being competitive with product prices, there seems to be a strange “who is the brightest?” competition between many of the booths.

7 HP – “boring black”

While black might be the colour of choice for most of the folks when it comes to electronic equipment, the same cannot be applied to booth design. We feel that it is towards the dull side, only made better by those fun and colourful gadgets on display.

6 SAMSUNG – “futuristic warehouse look”.

Another booth opting for the black design, the SAMSUNG booth with the clusters of boxes design, gives us the feel of a futuristic warehouse. We think it is not likely to catch shopper’s attention.

5 Sony – “using black and white to great effect”

The Sony brand names, unlike some of the other big players, are displayed slightly lower on the booth. While this saves all the neck breaking when reading the brand names from up close, can shoppers locate Sony from far?

4 SingTel – “telephone booths”

This year, SingTel has added a few little surprises on top of have huge floor space. They have free Super 3-in-1 coffee, organised queues and something that would make Superman really happy.

31 Starhub - “Anything you can do, I can do better.”

With over 50 counters for servicing their potential subscribers this year, the Starhub booth certainly has matched SingTel in terms of floor space coverage. We do like some green amidst all those reds.

21 M1 – “back to the 70s”

Using the orange colour to great effect, gives us the feel that we are back in the 70s. Where the rolls of white lights glitter the signage, it definitely brings attention to this booth!

11 Booth #B1951

This is our pick for the number 1 booth for PC Show 2009. They do offer more products, more information, more services, the right height of signage, the warehouse look, the glitter from the product displays, with all of that within a single booth space! Did you buy anything from them?
