The official website recommends parking at the Jurong Camp which is “next “ to Pasir Laba camp. Don’t be fooled by the word “NEXT”, it takes you probably 25mins to walk to the open house! The Discovery Centre Carpark will be a much better choice because it is located between Jurong camp and Pasir Laba camp. The parking is free and the security guard is very friendly too.

As all Singaporeans know (or at least those with kids:), every primary 5 student has to attend a practice session of the NDP, called the “National Education Show”, as part of their rights of passage towards becoming a full fledged, card carrying Singaporean. The daughter of a friend of mine is in primary five this year, and here is what her mom told me her daughter told her that she loved about her experience at the 2009 “National Education Show”.
The 9th of August is just round the corner. This is a very important date to Singaporeans. To some it is a Public Holiday. To some it is a great day of fun and celebrations. To some it is a great display of fireworks. To some it is a time to reflect on the nation’s achievements. To some it means being proud to be involved in the national day parade. To some it marks as a remembrance of Singapore's independence. To us it is a time to recognise and be proud of the men and woman that contributed to the nation’s growth, success and achievement. We the folks at SGTOP10 salutes Singapore and our fellow men and women that have made this possible and hereby dedicate to them the National Day Series! Stay tuned as we will be publishing national day articles over the course of this week!
