Majulah Singapura

One of the nicest National Anthems in the world. Composed by Zubir Said in 1958 originally as a theme song for official functions of the city of council of Singapore. It was later formally adopted as Singapore’s National Anthems upon full independence in 1965.

The following 3 songs are all written by Hugh Harrison, and are performed at every year’s NDP. The catchy tunes are truly inspiring and uplifting.

I was trying to looking for a version that is vocally stronger, but… this seems the most popular one on youtube.

We Are Singapore – 1987

I love the way the National Pledge is weaved into the song, it makes it so much easier to remember, and the whole song solemn.
